The game itself was great, emphasis on was. Ever since episode 2 was reworked, QA has been thrown out the window. The game is plagued with bugs, broken achievements and just isn't worth playing or buying new DLC until all the problems are fixed.

Not the best story, but it held together with the duct tape of the draw and the allure of the women, who are definitely beautifully crafted.
CK1 already introduced quite a few women, but they took it to a whole new level with ck2 and I was all for it.

While the idea of a GF experience was included from the start, it's implementation later down the line really put a stinker in the game.
The writers introduced the idea of too many branching stories to properly implement any of them and became very lazy with plot.
Your choices, once you are locked out of sleeping with every girl available, become a series of restrictions to how many of them you sleep with.
If you choose to focus on one girl as your GF, this doesn't equate to the story revolving around your relationship together and an accumulation of scenes with that woman which would warrant the idea of a new playthrough to experience something different with another woman.

What the game had going for it were a lot of beautiful woman, many more than you would normally get for a nsfw vn, but they have constantly boxed that feature into smaller and smaller increments for no reason.

The infuriating part are the small nuggets of interesting and positive interactions which so often end in nothing, or in misery for the "player", who is playing nothing, the player is just along for the ride to hellsville.
The writers appear to believe that ending in something that doesn't make sense and is not sex, in a sex game is better than ending in sex.

There are too many plates for all the restrictions you have in how well you can juggle them and the game has suffered greatly from it. Every new episode adds new women and restrictions on other women, but the story continues as if none of these things would matter in how you planned your day. You still go do the things with the chick you cheated on, after she caught you cheating, and she treats you like a dear friend, only you won't be able to sleep with her when this stupid interaction is over, and maybe you wouldn't have been able to if you had been dating her, which begs the question of why this is an interaction that was worth telling in the story, if it has no impact on your relationships with the people involved, in a game that is written by no Shakespeares to be a porn game?

Avoid the annoyance of wanting to interact with these women in a semi human fashion, or barring that in sleeping with all of them constantly, but being capable of neither.

What can I say, played it for 69 hours. Giggity.
