If the one who brings the gear dies, someone else takes over next time to let that person recover money and we just cycle through. But protect your money with a crucifix and it gets way easier to save up for everyone.
Hope that helps, Good luck out there!
They should reduce the cost, but also keep the money low as well
Yea, I just think it could be more realistic with the prices, like a lighter and candle shouldn't cost so much. There already are candles in the levels you just can't use them far as I know like you can in Phasma. Crucifix and Video Cameras costing a good amount is fine with me, they're not necessary most of the time and just a luxury item.
I think the best way to balance photo cameras is have like a low cost one with very limited amount of pictures it can take (like a disposable camera), a higher cost one with the ability to take more pictures and then like a really expensive one that has like built in extras on top of having the higher amount of film. (like better lighting effects, ability to set it on a motion sensor or something) It'd be like an end-game camera you can use but cost so much you don't want to lose it.
Could even use the way the film is processed to create different gameplay effects for them. Like the lowest cost one (disposable) you wouldn't know if you got the pictures you needed until you finished the mission and processed the film. The middle cost one could be a Polaroid, so it has more film but a slower picture taking time and you have to wave the picture around for awhile before you can see if you got what you wanted on it. Then the highest cost one could be digital and you can see the pics instantly and also take them quick.
I know you're saying that you're having some trouble getting off the first house so I want to try and help you do that.
Here is a short guide:
When you go into the house take your EMF, UV and your flashlight 1st.
These Items help a lot in the beginning.
The EMF will go off when you are near the ghost room.
Focus all your attention to this area and room that share a wall with the room you got the emf reading. Don't worry about some room on the other side of the house. This wastes time and cost you sanity.
Listen for light switches flicking and doors moving near this area.
If you hear the light switch flip check it right away,
if there are no fingerprints, open your journal and strike out the evidence and eliminate that evidence. UV light done.
Drop your EMF here and go back to the tent and bring in your "canvas" and "ESG".
These take a lot of time to give evidence so get them in the ghost room where the activity is and go back to the tent for your Ecto glass and Spirit Box,
So hold your spirit box and ask question while you're watching your ESG and Canvas. This way you are covering multiple things at once. You can even place your EMF Roach near the canvas so you can watch the activity also.
If you get some EMF activity, pick it up and walk around the room a bit to see if you get a 5 reading. If not. place it down and keep talking to the spirit box and watching the other items.
Give yourself a few minutes in the house and go check your sanity, if you are in the 50%-60% range, maybe take a guess based off the evidence you have and leave,
You might guess the ghost correctly and get money but the goal is to not die and make your grind longer.
Once you're more comfortable, maybe stay in the house and chance looping the ghost through the living room and kitchen area; the other areas are dead ends.
Just watch your sanity and don't risk it too much in the beginning and you will level pretty fast as well as make some money.
Save up for sanity pills first though they keep you in the game longer and just do what side objectives you can without buying candles and cameras in the beginning.
There will always be those exceptions to the rule like Revenants but this will work for you most of the time.
