I think its stupid that we have to do this to test a demo out, it took me like 30 mins to get the controller setup as I wanted.
While you may think that, if you sincerly mess with a demo within 45 minutes in a lobby thats also a you problem.
Demos are ment to showcase you. You did not take the showcase and purposefully stayd in lobby for 45 minutes.
Demo's always been limited in ways, wether its by time trial, or via via limited content (EA a level) or both.
I mean my post is from 1st April, and I now own the game, thanks for (a) joining the party and necromancing a 2 week old post, and (b) ranting about me being in the settings menu for 45 minutes, that's a really helpful and constructive input to my original post.
FWIW I actually loaded up the game and a visitor knocked the door and I left the demo running as there was no indication it was time limited.
But seriously, thanks again for your valuable and insightful input, a real pillar of the community you grew up to be.
Once again not true, demos are suppose to show off the good parts of the game, basically to entice the user to buy the game, BUT like I said above I was setting up the controller to work as best as it can for this game, so I was going back and forth testing and changing stuff.
Once the controller was finally setup as I wanted, I did get around to playing the demo, and overall although its not as scary as people are making it to be, don't get me wrong I did like it and will probably be buying it sometime next week.
Well I have never seen demos handle time trials like this and if they did they had a disclaimer stating that, but its fine, I can just delete a file and replace it with the backup file I created after creating my character.
That in all, I think they could of added a tutorial map for new people that haven't seen anything of this game yet.
While I have a rough idea what to do in this game the lack of a tutorial map will push away some new players.
That in all I do like the game, I am hoping the jump scares are better in the full game due to the few I saw although were ok, but not that scary.
But I do see myself buying the game due to I do love these types of games.
