why does my female character have male hands?

New to the game and just tried singleplayer where my female character has male hands, so wonder if I'm actually playing as a female or didn't the devs even bother to differentiate between males and females in this game?

Seems like the game doesn't save character customization. I changed my skin to black, saved, and my hands are still white. Mouse sensitivity doesn't save either. Please fix this.

hehe, no just didn't like the relatively big ugly white hand in the game, because it takes up too much of the screen, and white stands out in this dark game, so thought a smaller female black hand would be less noticeable. Yes, I'm pretty OCD regarding immersion in games, because it takes a lot to captivate me unfortunately. Give me a black glove to buy in the store! Don't like screen clutter and big ugly HUDs either. And the graphics in this game is too cartoonish, more realistic graphics in Phasmaphobia. Anyway, the main point is that the save function in settings doesn't always work in this game.

Am I reading this right? Maybe Phasmo got an update recently that changed how it looks because I found the graphics in Phasmophobia to be much more "cartoonish" (or at the very least lower quality) than in Demonologist.

Both games are fun for different reasons.

I play 4K at max settings. Phasmo definitely looks better, and when you turn on the lights in Phasmo, you don't first get that white "splash" icon on top of the light switch which appears in Demon. Immersion breaker deluxe QQ :) :)

Same and I still think Demonologist looks better. I remember the first time I played Phasmo my friends and I were laughing so hard at how bad the character models looked and moved. Aiming the basketball at the hoop just made the characters look like they had no bones in their body. I don't care about graphics for immersion though so it wasn't a deal breaker for me.
Not sure what you mean about the light switch, I'll have to look for it the next time I play.

In all honesty neither of these games are even close to the best looking games I own and clearly aren't trying to be. I hope you're able to enjoy the game or refund it if you don't like it.
