does this have to be a multiplayer game?

i mean does this have a single player story or campaign or something?

i like the idea of a game like this, it reminds me of that TV show supernatural, i like having the idea of using methods of getting rid of ghosts demons and all manner of creatures using logic lore and wit with a partner either through a single player campaign or the optional through multiplayer.

i'm not sure what is all involved in this title i know it's still being developed and all, but i suppose this is a good thing since suggestions could come from a game being created with this concept in mind to better improve the way it plays.

anyway, i'm a bit off topic, but i would like to know if this game would still have a single player mode and not just a online multiplayer thing, it would also be nice that the game has controller compatibility embedded into it.

It's more of a sandbox-repeatable kind of thing. There isn't a campaign. You can play with people or by yourself.

If you're looking for a campaign in this genre of game, only Ghost Exile has one planned (but still nothing for now)

Also, if you like Supernatural, check Metaphysical, it is basically a Paranormal Investigation/Exorcism game based on the TV show

If Metaphysical is the game that had 'Rug' as a feature, that game is trash.
Also, this isn't like Supernatural. This game doesn't have demons in it.

It's more open ended, the idea of the game is to go into a building with tools to figure out the type of "entity" you're dealing with, mainly just ghosts. Your health bar is "Sanity" it drops at a slow steady pace with scares and stuff and some ghosts drop it faster than others which can help figure out the ghost. Once your Sanity/Health gets low enough the ghost will "hunt" and attempt to kill you. If you stay at low Sanity/Health the ghost will keep triggering hunts a ton and you will probably die. There appears to be some kind of world lore in this game with the Maria room and stuff but no story/campaign. You just go to a property and try to solve the ghost mystery before you run out of Sanity/Health and die. It's fun but not exactly like hunting in Supernatural.

You will blow through all available content in this game in 10 hours or so depending on good you do and how quickly you make money. I think I have 15 hours?? And my friends and I are pretty much done.. it's fun.. but we can just go play something else with a lil more content till more comes.

you can do it solo. its painful, but do-able.

the first map has a somewhat higher difficulty than the second one. =p

I think it is more difficult than both of the other maps to be honest. The second map I was SHOCKED at how easy it was even on hard.. we got the ghost right and completed all objectives 4/6 times.

You can play Solo or Co-op.
