So you can only play the demo one time?
Me and a friend decided to play together without knowing anything about the game for the true first hand experience.
We roamed around in the house a little but since we didn't have other gear to rule out the other ghost, we just took a guess at it.
However as soon as we clicked on the car door to leave we were sent to a "buy now" screen and we are no longer allowed to play.

Is the demo just a one and done experience or is something bugged?

I mean I fully expected to not play the entire game and unlock all the maps or anything but I really thought we would be able to play more than 1 time.

Well a demo is just that a sample.. So maybe it is a one and done thing. That make sense for this kind of game.

Most if not all demos I have ever played usually restrict you to a small portion of a map, no access to the nice gear or other maps. nearly every demo also leave you with a bit of a cliff hanger to fuel your excitement to buy the game and continue.

I've never until now, played a demo that just allows you to play it once and then you hit a pay wall.

Generally you can play it as much as you want but like I said your typically very restricted as to what you can do and where you can explore.

I mean , it is what it is if that's the way they set it up, but it seems like you would want people to be able to play it more than one time before shutting them off.

Oh well.

What do you want, a demo without a ghost to actually hunt, or maybe just a single one so you can guess the same one every single time?
There's only so much you can put into a demo for this type of game.

It's not as easy as in a game with levels where you just make the first one available (There happens to be a lot of progress you're missing out on in those games), or a looter shooter where you're basically not getting good loot and are only limited to 1% of the game.

In contrary to those, demonologist is a repetitive experience. There is no real progress (customization is purely optional rather than actually limiting your experience) and even just giving 5 ghosts to pick from is already an experience you can literally play for hours until you're tired of it and never want to touch the game again.

You can try to remove your save files to play again. Remember, your progress will be lost.

Thank you TGRL for understanding what I was asking and providing a solution to the issue.

This is exactly what I was wanting to know.

I wasn't really concerned about progression or anything so there worries there.
I was just looking to replay the demo as it was.

I really enjoy what you have done at this stage of development and looking forward to your future updates.

Thanks again.

Thanks for your comment but this is not at all what I was asking.

Will I unlock more areas in the house of the demo or is the house really that small ?

It was a bit too short. I was messing around with the settings, then messed around in the house for a bit. Then the next day I waited for friends to join the lobby and do their settings, and then I couldn't play, even after I bought the full game. 2 hours would be nice, with limitations on just that one house, areas within the house and equiptment. That's just my two cents since now I'm watching my friends stream the demo just so I won't be left out (even though, I bought the game). I'm also trying to convince them to get it, and this doesn't help a lot ;-; Just my opinion, please no attack.
