Hello!

When encountering bugs that hinder your gameplay, please post screenshots / videos of the bugs occurring or if crashing, a screenshot of the crash report.

Make sure that your speech recognition settings are correct. There are two different inputs as the game is always listening. Additionally, make sure 3rd party programs aren't interfering with your mic. You can test this quickly by saying "Banshee" at the bathtub a couple of times, or loading in a game and picking up the spirit box to talk into it.

If you see a waveform, the game can clearly hear you and recognize you.

This could be caused by a version mismatch between the two, or it could be firewall settings not allowing outgoing/incoming connections.

Please make sure to whitelist it!

Per our changelog, we added the ability to customize your characters in the lobby. No more needing to go back to the main screen.

You can find this under the tools screen -> character customization

From what I’ve gathered from Discord and this thread: Every single person who encounters this issue does not have this happen in another program that uses both vosk or Microsoft’s spew recognition.

This isn’t an issue on the players end. There are crashes involving vosk which, to me, indicates that there is an issue within the program.

This is a horrible Idea for people like myself who have kids and cant just have silence all the time. during a hunt this makes it impossible to hide and play the game then.... nice....

I'm enjoying the game a lot when I'm not crashing. I would really love to not crash anymore so that I can get money, exp and levels to be able to explore more maps and try out the new equipment. I'm currently still only level 1 and that is because of my continuous crashes. I hope this information is useful for finding a fix to this issue!

Thanks for the answer.
Tested it. Banshee and the spirit box are not working. Tested 3 mics now.
There are no additional programs running and the communication with the party works perfect.
Are there other thinks I can try?
