Hello! We're very sorry for being silent on this issue. Our core team is very small and we've been exceptionally busy.

The antivirus issues in the original build were false positives which appear to be common to any game executable built with the particular version of Unity we were using. They did not appear to be related to our custom engine in any way.

We have since updated our version of Unity and published new builds, and VirusTotal currently shows 0 detections on the new game executable.

To be clear, the detections were always false positives, and the files have always been safe. We're very sorry for the concern.

In the future we'll monitor this space more carefully, but for the most immediate response you can always report problems to us in our Discord server. Thanks!

Bro you too? I also use Kaspersky and was wondering if anyone else was having this issue, you think its an actual trojan or just kaspersky freaking out?

I don't know, it is very unusual a game to be flagged as trojan like that, and I imagine they need to be approved by Steam so it is very unlikely that it is a real virus, but better safe than sorry. I'm going to wait they solve this before I try it out

Kaspersky Internet Security - thanks)))

Same Imma wait too, im pretty sure that its safe but if its getting flagged than i dont want to take any chances.

Same here, every time I try start the game the Kaspersky alone "detect" a "Trojan" in the game .exe and erased alone. Curios is no the first Kaspersky make this, with Monster Hunter Rise after a no much time ago update in the game, it start to make the same, all alone. The antivirus is no supose to ask us if we want to remove or not the "virus"?

pretty sure it just does it automatically for safety reasons. better to be on the safer side of things.

I'm using Bitdefender and it detected a trojan, too. No thanks, hard pass even if it's nothing I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Glad to hear that its not just Kaspersky acting up. Probably safe to say that there is an actual virus in the program, what a shame.

Apparently the devs are not looking at their community tabs and posts, so I suggest all people affected here to report the game using the "harmful (virus/malware)" option to get their attention.
I know it's a little "wrong" or unfair to do that to a game that seems to be really fun and legit, but I don't see other way

Same here. Hoping for a false positive and waiting for any info from the devs.

Could be their custom engine, most anti cheats freak out when the engines or the exe files dont have any publisher
Some of their advanced sound options fiddle around with hardware more directly than some anti virus would like to allow. Maybe it's that.

In any case maybe a statement of the devs would be in order?
Too much fear mongering here. It would be pretty stupid if there was an actual malicious trojan/virus/whatever in a well crafted demo like this.

This isn't one of those cheap unity store asset flips, which are more likely to be malicious.

The chances of this being a false-positive is more than likely.
Ran a quick test on the .exe file via hybrid analysis, 2/3 detected as clean, while virustotal lists as 16%, essentially this means only 16% of anti-viruses detect this as malicious. Given it's low %, it's more than likely to be false positive. I would be concerned if the number was much higher, as it would be greatly detected.
