How bad is the woke ideology?

I joined the Discord community today, excited to connect with fellow gamers and dive deeper into discussions about the game. Upon joining, I was greeted with the question about 'preferred pronouns', which caught me off guard as my primary focus is on the gaming aspect. I value a gaming environment where the main emphasis is on the shared passion for the game itself, rather than personal ideologies or politics.

I have a deep appreciation for traditional values and find solace in gaming as a way to enjoy shared interests and experiences. With that in mind, I'm curious to understand the developers' approach to incorporating various ideologies into the game. My hope is that the game remains a neutral ground where the emphasis is on the gaming experience itself, allowing players from all backgrounds to enjoy the game without the need to navigate through political or ideological discussions.

The upcoming game seems incredible, and I'm looking forward to experiencing it fully. I'm eager to see how it brings people together over a shared love for gaming, fostering a community that prioritizes respect and teamwork.

The reason why is it does not make money, and companies that want to spread it largely end up failing.
Throwing a rainbow flag in your ♥♥♥♥ game does not suddenly make your game better or more appealing. It just means you have a ♥♥♥♥ game with a rainbow flag.

And finally that group of people known as woke, for the most part just dont buy games...
Sounds weird but I have some dev insight into that. Maybe one or two like Celeste, but largely they are a dead market, that rather cause drama than actually invest in the majority of games they ask for that crap to be in.

Why do people who say this tend to state it in such a vague way? There are countless different "traditional values" depending on where you're from. They vary between countries, states, towns and families. Some of them are diametrically opposed to each other.

And why hold a value on a pedastal just because it's traditional? There's no logical reason to begrudge a value for being new because every traditional value was also new at one point. Age doesn't make anything inherently sacred.

To answer honestly, I haven't seen any woke ideology. Discord has the option for pronouns. It's possible the moderators or admins of the discord are just making a wholehearted attempt to include everyone when making the Discord channel. As someone who had a few conversations in their discord, I didn't feel that the moderators were sensitive but some of the user base in the channel was. I seen a few comments about politics get removed and they were told "No politics in video games" which is nice to see, because no matter what side your on, or if you just like to sit in the middle, no one wants it shoved in their faces, nor do we care what political stance a company takes. After all, we just want to play a video game.

Ignore the people calling you a troll, they clearly don't have the intellectual capacity to have a civil conversation about other peoples experiences due to the unfathomable realization that opinions exist and no one is wrong for having one. Thank you for sharing your concerns and views. I hope this post provides some light in the darkness, which some idiots have caused due to their lack of social skills. It's not an issue. Most games of any size that come out these days, get a wash-up of trolls or supporters of trolls. Some are just ignorant bystanders speaking their minds. Many (I'd suggest most but...benefit of the doubt) just pop in to drop fecal material on a game and/or farm jester points.
Some no-lifers actually have multiple accounts so they can promote a 'brothers (not to be gender specific) in arms' mentality to earlier posts they themselves made.

It's sad state but one that has to be tolerated out of political correctness for the trolls themselves. Perplexing.

It's best to put up a warning sign for folks who honestly might dialogue out of kindness, then move on.

Judging from the reaction to your post (that you got and will have more for sure) and "climate" on they'r discord it is not so good experience. I was there since 2021 but recently i quited as there were to many "over sensitive" ppl as for my taste.
