You can set up a persistent hub zone though with up to 6 people at a time by either all putting down your respite estate cairns in the same realm OR by having individual respite realms with portal connections to each other using player cards you can craft and give out.
With that setup your friends can join the realm and do whatever they want on their own without you needing to be there, similar to a private server experience.
