Gloriana`s Tear map: For the glory quest

I have activated the light altar but nothing happens, i see i must salut a hooded statue but i have no clue how to achieve this and nothing is really explained, am i missing something?

Hey there! I believe you are meant to use an emote to progress :)

Z for emote wheel. I just did this headache on the sorrow seal.
The puzzle can be 100% bypassed. Just go to the back, peek through the gap and break the sorrow seal. Done. No platforming or emote wheel needed.

I am now also stuck at this quest. I have tried every emote on the wheel and nothing is working. I know the altars are working because they do damage to me. There are two statues and I tried saluting both. I'm sure I am at an altar of sorrow. Did I missing some dialog telling me what emote to use? This quest needs a hint in the description text if I did so you don't have to go talk to Nellie again to find out if you forget.

Depending which altar you are at there maybe 3 statues.

If its the Salute the highest statue, there is definitely 3, and to salute it you have to go up to the corner of the platform slightly to the side of the statue at about face level and then salute it. If you salute it at the base of the statue it does nothing.

Okay I just now figured out what I was missing. There are crystals you can change the direction of and you need only certain one's turned. This puzzle definitely needs a better description in the quest text. I've beat puzzle games like the original Myst I know I'm not that oblvious.

To be fair, the game does pop up a 'How to play' when you reach the first of these shrines. which does explain all that.
