fishing relies on your stamina ( there is a charm of endless fishing where u use no stamina or food while fishing) or make soup gives u 600 stamina end game wont be a problem mystic or dauntless remember stamina is the key

Ps u can upgrade your rods to give better stamina efficiency

never been too eager on ingame fishing, so i could ve easily missed something while grabbing materials for my dauntless rod.

i simply picked some high durability lacunus ingots, predator fibres for stamina efficiency and ended up with 10.8 fishing rating at epic. where is yours at?

havent seen anything to boost the fishing rating stat itself but if you play a trickster card you ll catch any fish instantly, tho the only fishes i ve seen yet are those lvl 10 or lvl 30 variations.

Just get that skill where the fish walk from the pond to your cooker.. I mean what do you want? A trawler Net? Dynamite? Fishing is plenty fast enough.. unless you're feeding 5 other players who die alot..

Its really not all that much about the rod itself, IMO; as was said above its more about your stamina... and there are some tricks you can use to speed up the catching part by not letting the fish run around as much, and being efficient while you are fishing; see this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YjCc5wvIZXg

I get very, very good returns with a basic stone setup very similar to this, set up in Asc Herb Hard, in the two biomes he suggests.... with tempest cards to auto-water everything, and giving the seeds to my companion to plant (while I do the fishing). You might say I opted for QOL improvements over total efficiency, but I have zero complains on the output....

snarky can be amusing but op asks for min/max not "dis feature dumb, plz remove"

neat, didnt know you could push that onto your recruit.

and concerning fishing, guess it doesnt matter with a somewhat decent rod but you can use a bramble wall to create temporary mini ponds. was just curious and hardly spent any time on it but fishes occasionally seem to get stuck in it and cant move anymore too.

So those 10 and 30 fish are it? Sad face. Need squat past the old 46 rod if it is tarted up unless it drags them in quicker. Where are the manta rays and giganta tunas? Nice video. So as long as you keep that portal open then the farm is safe if it's not your abeyance realm? One hears stories. Why would you not just put that farm in abeyance forest (for example) and call it good? What would be the benefit of having it in high level area, fish appear to be exactly the same. Thanks for any answers.

if you re referring to my comment, no idea. couldnt care less about fishing just gave it a try and spent a grand total of like 10 minutes grabbing a handful of fish here and there in different biomes and levels. i dunno if there s more to it.

I went to Max level biome and fish are 10 and 30 level too.

Thanks! Think I'll just make that farm in my abeyance realm and call it good.

I had tried making my fish farms in those harder realms, and yeah that didnt seem to make much difference. I've kept my portals to Desert and Forest open so I can drop by and fish whenever I want, and thats worked surprisingly well. Neither me not my buildings get attacked; possibly because its almost all over the water where nothing goes, but also for the wall around it; I dont seem to draw direct aggression from wandering creatures. My desert fish farm pretty much covers the entire oasis I used, and I can see the desert robots circling the walls like they are curious... but no attacks.

I decided not to build it in abeyance because of two things; putting fish farms in other realms means I can keep their Tempest card on all the time, and dont have to deal with switching cards for fishing in abeyance this. The other reason is I wanted both Desert and Forest sushimi.... I wanted to see just how awesome it was to trigger health regen for prismatic+tomato, prismatic+aloe, and rainbow+chamomile all at once (a sum total of around 1500 health regen plus good stamina regen for a huge amount of time). That felt pretty good. . . . I dont use "recovery" nearly as often, and solves all food issues too.

You can fish in all the weird places as well.. if there's water and you can cast into it.. you'll probably get something. It isn't like other games tho where you might get a boot.. or a waterlogged stick.

I get the min maxing side but you never said what you actually wanted out of fishing? I've caught hundreds of fish.. I use fish as my middle food. Other than it is insanely boring.. and I often fall asleep and wake up to the "you've been disconnected" screen.. it's fit for purpose, i'm sure they'll add to it later on, with materials, levels, bigger fish.. maybe.. a giant octopus if you're in the swamp..that winds you in, instead.

Sweet, thanks so much for the info. Had totally overlooked the minor cards. Appreciate your input.
