no lantern?

i bought recipies for a lantern and yet it doesnt who up in my list of things to craft either known or unknown.
are they not in the game or is it a bug or what am i doing wrong lol

It's in build menu. Lantern are just decorative

As far as i know, the only augment that unlocks the equippable lantern is the Gramophone. You need to scroll down the list of your recipes in your excellent workbench, down to the "decor recipes". It should be down at the bottom of the list. If I'm remembering correctly, the first you can unlock is the rugged lantern

There are equipment and decorative lanterns. Look for a lantern recipie with the gear name, NTTC, Calcularian, Dauntless....if you aren't wearing cloths you are stuck with the torch.

Good news though, the torch keeps you warm, none of the lanterns manage that.

You can build the Lantern (equipable), you need Gramaphone (augmention - Ascended Provision Swamp), once you add this you can make lantern from the patterns you get in The Watch.

The Lantern does NOT give out heat (make sense since it is "covered" It is a light source and you can get stats on it, but a torch is still better to recover wet status because a Lantern does not do this (again, it make sense)

Yeah i use the torch for everything. Unfourtunatly i cant find a way to really heat my base so at night i have to keep the torch burning lol. thought the furnace would do it but its massive and wont even attach to my floor lol. just want a nice wood burning stove

You can use a Smelter, Brazier or any of the cooking fires to stay warm at night but you have to stand right next to it. Easier to just go for the long rest in your bed for 15 seconds and get back to what you want to do.

you can get a Stave Fireplace (that is what I use) the sad part is that the "heat radius" seems small for such a big thing :(
