Backpack - Highest max weight

currently using an explorer pack with mule perk showing me 455 max weight on the pack, 758 carrying capacity on the character screen.

are you guys getting higher values and if so, how?

You can add an infusion to increase weight 15% too. And cards can affect carry weight as well....I am using settler apo-something, and my calcularian backpack typically shows me at 1000 weight when running around my home... which by the way occasionally bites me when I zip over to another realm and get encumbered because I lost the card bonus...

There is another topic on this same thing in the last page or two, has backpack in the title; go look for it and I bet ou'll fin duseful info in there too.

sure, i already got the encumbrance infusion.
extra max weight in my home realm doesnt sound all that useful to me :v

You have the mats in Sasherias post. There isn´t anymore. And the charm of the mule to get an overall weight limit around 800

True enough, but the extra carrying capacity isnt why I am using the card, either. Its more like a useful side-affect (that still burned me in a way), but for you, it can also cloud the answers you will hear from others who arent aware their carrying capacity has been changed. I wanted you to be aware.

Well, for mine.... (just checked the numbers):

Mine is a lvl 227 Epic Calcularian pack. For the materials the only thing that seems to matter for weight was the using of T4 Forest Fibre (nothing else in metals/hide seem to affect that aspect). (I was probably using Jana Hide, and other top stuff to give me better health, etc, but you can probably get a higher GS)
It has the 15% infusion; giving Magical Encumbrance+++
It has Physical Encumbrance+ from an augment on the sewing machine (from Builder Pockets affect)
The description says weight will be 486.
I went to another realm with no card, and actual inventory weight showed as 536.
I added Charm of the Mule, and it went up to 804 in inventory.
I went back to my Abeyance (Settler Apogean card, which gives "modest carrying capacity increase", it says....) and invetory weight went to 1340

Would love to hear if anyone gets higher; if there is a way I'd always like to know

Hey,
got mine to 485 and I guess that's max at the moment. Used infusions. Yet you can't add max. carriage volume boosts for the backpack on other items, but I may be wrong...

the nttc-backpack should get a little higher even with lower gs, cause of the better mats ingredience. The base mats itself stay like the calcurian backpack. And there is an exploit to get way more stats on your ingredience. But its an exploit i don´t want to subscribe (and if i get the statement of the dev video correct, the exploited items gets deleted in short/mid time).
little more than 800 weight on your char (not backpack) should be the current limit without cards/exploits.

hide = harpy T3 (for movement speed)
ingots = highest possible, sun gian/pellucidic/einaidia something like this, doesn´t matter only for gs and durability
fibre = T4/T5 forest T4 for more hp (gs comes from ingots)

active augment: one of constuction press, crude coat rack, crude grindstone for the extra encumbrance +

since i havent seen a clear answer anywhere else i went along an crafted 3 different variations. in regard to max weight none of these materials are relevant (except forest fibre), mix and match as you please, simply added the info for transparency.

Wait, so materials do make a difference on carrying capacity on the pack? I experimented when I first got rare essence and I couldn't get my pack over a capacity of 75. So I just never tried again after that. Weight hasn't ever really been a concern for me. With the sheer number of variations I run out of space :D Guess I need to revisit that again :D

After looking at shots above, no. I think capacity is still 75. Thought he was referring to the number of slots in the inventory which is listed as the capacity in the inventory. Didn't realize when you moused over the weight it listed it as carrying capacity. They should reword that :D

Long story short. Capacity is 75 slots. Maybe that'll be revisited someday and increased.

Technically there is no max right now, due to the stat stacking option. Also something you missed is metal with +max weight. forest fibers -> coating -> coated paper -> foil > ingots

Stat stacking bug/exploit, call it what it is. You should probably be aware devs are fixing this, so anything you have made with stat stacking will likely be removed/nerfed/made useless.

NTTC backpack appears to have the highest carry capacity of the 4, but explorer still looks better overall with much higher stealth and movement speed bonuses.
