Ingot: Hollow Metal doesn't exist

Hi,

could somebody please explain to me how to get this non-existant item? Do I need a specific power setting or a specific realm type? I killed millions of bound up to gloom, this item simply never drops. Not even once. And I need two for Frankensteins Quest...

LOL. You have to fight the Bound; they drop Hollow Metal, Adv Hollow Metal, etc. If you fighting them, I cant imagine why you arent getting it; you might need to increase your difficulty to get tougher Bound

Bound with 2 blades and gag over his mouth has a small chace to drop it, not sure about the name ...

Only one bound enemy drops it normally. Its the assassin, the guy with 2 blades, that jumps around and throws the blades at you. They have pretty much 100% drop rate. I also read that if you use the Malfeasance Appogean card, ALL bound drop it, but i havent tested that since the constant atmospheric damage is too annoying for me to deal with lol

Bound Assasin is the mob u need. So check the realm does have that mob before even enter there to search it. (right arrow next to list of the two cards will show list of mobs). Yep, they are rare, took me some time to get them.

Which difficulty should I use? I play on medium, doing gloom right now. There is only one more tier to explore...

They can spawn in every biome/difficult if they are in the realm npc list. Its just random which one spawn, when a group spawn. The malfeasance cards don´t make that every bound drops one, but you get more per drop (and its perma night, they spawn everywhere). If you are on lower gear level the constant damage tick could be tricky. But with good food and the heal spell its not a big problem. With endgear/food you don´t even noticed.

That's when I started seeing them. Medium difficulty, gloom realms.

Go out at night. Damned mobs are everywhere. Up your gamma for better visibility. Just remember to reset or might look a bit washed out.

They're in hard herbarium as well

Yeah, the assassins are not hard to spot. They have a hood on, like old style medieval executioners. They also throw their blades at you, accompanied by a high pitched musical ringing tone and large red explosions. They will also somersault over you and land behind you. No other bound does this.

Now that you mentioned that, I'm pretty sure I did as well. Just once though, one showed up at a Defend POI on Herbarium swamp.

has to be on at least medium realm setting to get the assassin mobs that drop it.

Choose Desert Herbarium at Medium difficulty.
Fail a Bastille of Intellect; interact with the "wrong" pillar, and a single Assassin will spawn.
Shoot them in the head, collect the Hollow Metal; repeat as needed.

Allright! I finally got them. Then, during the follow up quest, I got the Charm Oil - instantly. I must have killed a bishop by accident... - Now just to find that damn elusive eoten...
