Assigning Estate workers a specific bed
I would really like to be able to do it. I'm building small places next to or nearby each workstation for my workers to 'live' in. I tend to think and play RPishly, just for immersion. Its annoying to have the workers cross the estate to sleep in my bed in my house, when they have beds, chairs and tables, etc right next to them. Does anyone else play like this or would like it as well?

I think they get the first bed they find when you put them to work and dont change that even if you build more, you will need to remove them from the cairn and put them again so they can get the bed assigned again.
Saw people having their workers in one different bed, so its possible but i guess its not optimized since this is a new feature that will be updated from this point

I removed the bed and then the worker started using the one near them but as soon as I put a bed back, they went right back do it. I did wonder if it might be the first one they used.. I'm also wondering if its.. assigned (even though we don't see it) to the first worker that sleeps in it and then no one else can use it. I share my abeyance with someone else at the moment and she added a housing structure by hers but they are going to the one I built for the other worker. I also think they have been dismissed since and reset to working BUT I will give that a try now, just to double check and see if it works. Will update afterwards.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts!
It would be good if you could assign npcs to a specific bed. This is a function I've experienced in Enshrouded. I like my npcs but would prefer they don't sleep in my house/bed.
I did double check both simply unassigning the worker from the station as well as removing them as a resident of the estate altogether and neither one changed where they went. They still made a bee line for my main house and my bed, rather than the house, bed and chairs right next to their workstation. :(

I hope it is a feature they will expand on. I really prefer the building and art style of Nightingale. It may be limited than the voxel method in Enshrouded, which I am trying to get into recently, but I still prefer it.

Would love to build dedicated houses for blacksmiths, Woodcutter, Miners weavers etc. Spread my town houses rather than concentrate everything near each other and limit FPS. So assigning beds would be a great addition.
I know this is older but I can say they seem to go to the highest quality bed with the most high comfort rating nearest to them that isn't occupied.

I haven't tested to see if a door does anything... but I had bedrolls down. and a "Work house" build they would use it. I build a new Tudor house with a Simple bed and a small desk with a chair... one was sleeping in the bed and one was sitting in the chair.

So it is not the first bed they found. As they have seemed to sleep in different bedrolls. I had 5 bedrolls and 3 Estate Hands. They would sleep in "my" bedroll. If I moved a bedroll they'd sleep where the bed roll was, like it was still there.

When I moved all my benches to my new workshop I build rooms for each bed roll with lighting.

The bed rolls are all comfort 4. The Tudor house bed has a comfort 5 so now they ignore the bed rolls and rest in a chair instead.

So it seems that if you want your Estate workers to not use your bed.. make it so your bed is the same or lower comfort to theirs.

I will add that they may not sleep in double beds. Not sure if always. I don't remember if Tudor House bed is double. But recently, they ignore my double bed from higher tier and sleep in single beds.
They slept in my double bed.. a fine one, I think it was.
My pumpkin farmers never sleep. I made them beds and I never see them use them, so I put a door near them and they still are working at midnight.
+1 for this, I hate in any game where npc's come into my house and use my stuff rather than what is built for them. If not the ability to assign beds individually, then at least something to preclude the player's bed from being used by workers; how can we use it if some random npc is always in it?

I wish, at my respire they still use the 'bags' 3 floors down rather than the 'best' beds (8 or 6) just inside...

Maybe they do head for the first ones they used, then...
ok-i've finished my "cozy comfy" homes for all my workers project. Now i just need a way to assign them to beds to get them out of mine ;)
(hint hint @ the devs)
I put two beds out on my farm and the follower there continue harvesting through the night. I can't get them to sleep,
