The arabic armor worn by the guy with the raptor on his shoulder was also nice looking.
So far, most of the "armor" we have is purely cosmetic. The sentinel set and the redcrosse knight set. I like the redcrosse set a lot more since we can now color the major metal plates.
I Agree, but I've seen a lot of sentinel sets now that it's fully available, and according to the achievement, the Redcrosse set is less than 2% of players. I've only seen maybe 2 at the watch aside from mine.
I really just want something to be edgy/mysterious and cover my face lol.
Ugh, you said the S word.
I personally consider that to have NOTHING to do with victorian anything. It's a modern affectation.
Even stuff like the gasmask shaped face armor has roots that go back that far. If you research world war 1 trench warfare gear it's very non-typical looking stuff. A lot of the weapons and gear used in WWII were recycled leftovers from world war I. And the ww I stuff was from way before that war.
Ok, thanks for the history lesson but the game is about magic, fae, and travel to different worlds. There are blimps/zeplins (I know have nothing to do with Steampunk) and all the electrical devices.....so whats wrong with Steampunk that's basically a fantasy power/electrical style of copper pipes, exposed gears, and machines? It would fit the games atmosphere and add more content. But it would be optional.
Because it very quickly veer off course and becomes sci-fi, not fantasy. Just my opinion. At least the version of it popularized today.
There are lots of hi-tech elements in old victorian novels, like captain nemo's ship probably being powered by some kind of nuclear reactor.
