DLSS frame generation greyed out?

why I can only enable FSR frame generation but not DLSS frame generation when having 4070?

The button for DLSS frame generation is greyed/disabled for me

I dont know what to tell you, I have a 4070 as well and I was able to turn it on. I have borderless/windowed enabled, is that a factor? I set performance boost to Nvidia DLSS, balanced, sharpness 10 and I was able to turn on frame generation.

if your on windows 10 you need to enable hardware accelerated GPU scheduling

In Settings, select "System."

Open the Settings app, then click "Settings."
In the sidebar on the left, click "Display."

Click "Display" on the left-hand side.
On the right pane, at the bottom, choose "Graphics Settings."

Click "Graphics Settings" under the "Display" section.
On the following screen, toggle on the "Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling" option.

No. I did a reset of the driver settings and still no option for frame generation

Other people having similr issues with this and other games. No clue why.
Some suggest to optimize in Nvidia App but Nightingale is not even listed there for me. Nvidia App does not find Nightingale.

Patch notes say DLSS FG is disabled by default now but users can enable it again. So there was a recent change.

Ok, even in Win 11 I have to turn on HW accelerated GPU scheduling, now I can turn on FG
