sylvan's cradle bossfight bug?

so i began fighting this boss, azazel the pentinent and somehow he is immune to all damage, so are his trees, i even upgraded my weapons, anyone know what the problem is?

he goes immune at various times in the game...you just have to switch out to heal yourself when he's immune. <edit--additional information> Also, both grenades and the fish spell have the potential to stun, so using those appropriately might make it easier to kill him.

When he sticks the tendrils in the ground, that's when he's immune. Just wait until he pulls them up again. Eventually (for me, at least), he stopped doing that.

Another trick that works, and I just pulled it, is to use a sword, preferably one which you've crafted nicely (I think mine is gilded lumber and magnesium--with a damage enchant somewhere on my gear, and a few useful charms, including rage and 1000 blows).
I managed to kill him, this time, before he could even go to regen the first time.

Each time the boss's health is restored less and less. When he starts to regain his health, you can restore yours.

I'm having the same issue. He's not going immune at certain points, he's just immune to all damage.

For those reading this, I looked at their official bug reporting site ( https://playnightingale.ideas.aha.io/ ) and their Discord ( https://discord.gg/playnightingale ) and this is a known bug. They've recreated it internally and are investigating for a way to fix.

He only takes no damage when he regains his health. At this point, it is necessary to prepare and continue to attack him when he finishes drinking.

Maybe I was lucky, but I just defeated Azazel. It did go immune for a while and I died on my first attempt. I was more patient on my second attempt, hit it with repeated melee strikes and it went down. Sorry for the folks who encountered this bug; defeating this boss opens up a lot of new crafting possibilities. Hope it gets resolved soon.
