The final boss in Nightingale is the Automaton Queen but the city is overrun by Bound?

That's what it looks like from the dev video. But everywhere in the Fae Lands, automatons fight Bound if they come into contact.
Anyone there yet? Is there a reason for this or were you surprised by the final boss?

Both are under control of the same entity. The automatons in previous realms are left over wild ones. You primarily will only fight bound in the city.

The Automaton Queen can be found in Boss Rush.
Don't know oif she appears in the Boss Rush locally opened in my Respite - I entered from the Watch (3rd Floor) and I think it was Round 30 when she appeared.
Since this was also my first time getting to a round above 27 (i usually play solo), I don't know if she was always there or if that is new...
