No Salt anymore?

Hi friends!
Is it possible, that there is NO salt anymore?
I have been to the beginner-realms in the desert. I tried out several difficoult-levels, from beginner to pro.
And did find just 5 !!! (FIVE) Salt! Pieces!
So, where the heck is all the salt gone?
I think i can remember the appearance of the salt, but, when i take it, it says it is Quartz, no salt!
Am i to stupid to find salt? have been to 5 different realms, was looking arround almost everywher, but nothing?
So, does anyone know, whats up?
I cant produce the desired food anymore. *sigh*

While you will see low amounts in caves etc, mostly it is GS40+ desert realms.
Quartz without the 'fangs' :)

I've just been in a gloom desert realm after it and something for pigment...

Weird RNG, yesterday I was in a salt-a-palooza; got more in one day than I'd gotten in total up till then. Happened when I and a buddy were playing around with upping the difficulty.

I find tons of it in Herbarium desert. Provisioner on hard or higher should also have lots.

I get it in the Hunt Deserts.
I craft the reward for Sun Giant, grab the 3 ingots from him and then average about 100-200 Halite and Copper per run.
