I was wondering what the 'Reclaimed ingot' was for, then I realized something...
Some of the later components asks you to combine two types of components together, and it results in the stats being added together... Now what happens if you turn them back into ingot?

I have a Tin ingot that has Pursuit ingot stats.

Hmm I think the Ritual meat can be extracted to be used in fiber creation, which means stats from gems can be utilized here... Except you gotta hunt a LOOOOOT of Fabled mobs to even try this... Or buy the meat somewhere.

Ritual Meat = Fabled Meat + Gem + Gem + Gem
2x meat = 1 animal fiber
2x animal fiber = 1 thread
2x threads = 1 cloth

There's no stacking loop so the best you can do is get the 3 best gems to somehow stack it there... I wonder if gems include other stuff like cutting them.

EDIT: Nope cut gems don't count to include into Ritual Meat... Gems are raw gems, and Glass includes all raw gems as well

EDIT2: Ritual Meat does not count as meat for conversions!

I have focal shards that is made of gems, as well as mob drop variants, I guess they are utilized for late game tools like the mystic stuff?

Seeing how there isn't any forge related crafting with gems, I'd assume these are separate items used on it's own on the side of the late game crafting.

mystic only uses cut gem, guess its used for buildings or what ever

anybody noticed the Miasma dmg bonus and the light rating on the Etherean glass?
wonder if we can add that element to our weapons

A lot of materials has bonuses we want but can't use, because well the rest of the content aren't done yet... Pretty sure we are suppose to have much better facilities or better augmentations to unlock recipes or new ways to refine them.

If they fix the material fusing to have a limit, but enable you to increase the rarity of the material like (common > uncommon > rare > epic) grades, then it can be better balanced but still allow people to grind and dump materials to refine and make good weapons.

I guess one way to fix the % rate of materials is having a cap to how many modifiers you can combine into one material, and all rates caps out at 100%, unless you use higher rarity materials of which their cap is higher at every extra 50% intervals.

So you mine a ton of gold ore, well it will be smelted into the uncommon (white) ingots.
When you want to upgrade the stack to a higher rarity you gotta pay in essence or maybe another magical material, which makes it more appealing to hunt fable monsters.

They added quite a lot of content for dagger tech tree, but no way to unlock the recipe by any traders that I've known or find.

An upgraded loom that enables you to combine liquid metal with threads to make 'Gilded Threads' and then 'Gilded Cloth' would be interesting... But it would be better if they start having more armor looking clothing like military styles.

Regardless of the base damage, the critical multiplier is crazy on the knife and it's actually the best melee weapon in the game with charm of the unstoppable and the charm that gives stamina on kills.
It doesn't work, I cast assassin's sight and then quake, it will not crit since it dispells the initial spells, when done in either direction.

I achieved this by casting quake with a different weapon but you need to switch to the hunting knife right after for the duration of quake.

Ah, well I just discovered something... Salad can be used to make more Spice?
It's probably a loss or equal though but you can keep adding stats this way by creating more mixed veggies.

Tender Steaks and Salads can be turned back into Spice!
Anything that uses Spice seems to be allowed?

Oh I think it only applies if you use non-custom spices, if you convert them back into spice it stops working!

So if you use actual spice item like ichor or salt, you can turn it back into a custom spice, but it won't be used to extract afterwards. But you can basically do a bit more with it than before.

EDIT: Well that's funny? I can turn any 'plant fiber' into seeds... But I wonder if I can trick it using processed fiber?

Love the broken goodness.
dr46onfusion Feb 28, 2024 @ 2:38pm
Well I tried making more tender steaks to see if i can convert towards fabric, I must have used a specific way because it's not working again... I think the key component is one of the spices... The bound ichor might be considered 'plant-like', I used spice created from 'flowers' and it disallowed it.

is there a way to convert lumber into ingot?

Nope, you have to do that using paper if you wish to move stats from wood into ingot via the FOIL creation.

5x Foil = Liquid Metal (copper/silver/gold required) + Filigree (created from 4 wires) + 5 Paper.

With reclaim ingot, you can turn 2 foils into 1 ingot.

But yeah I was looking into trying to use ways to convert raw meat + spice = tender steaks = Animal fibre, but it doesn't work after a while, I think you need a specific spice like Salt or Bound Ichor for it to count.

When you turn Mixed Plants into Salad using a spice, specific ones lets you convert that into oil. The Mortar station and the tanning station seems very very picky.

Did you maybe try to turn meat with flax oil into fibers/straps for stats?
ive seen there is some marinated staked, flax can be made into oil so i assume it can be made into marinade and used in marinated steak. havent tried yet since ive found only one seed in hour and a half, ill try looking some more tomorrow

I can confirm today that Perfect Steak can be turned into animal fibre.
Also confirmed that Perfect Steak can be turned into Spice!
I used Bound Ichor as spice for seasoned meat.
Then for marinade I used oil(crude) which was crude seeds (no stats) with refined salt(has stats).
Made Marinated Steaks and then Perfect Steak when cooked, you can turn them into fibre or into Spice to continue adding to the cycle of stats.

Do note that unlike with ingot/lumber, you don't seem to have cards that saves you resources on these. If you are going to bother applying stats, I'd suggest a separate realm that grants bonus on the stuff you cook, or the stats on conversion to animal fibre or spice.

Making spice requires 10 to 5 ratio, so you will be losing a lot of materials, unless you care only to use cheap store bought ones like prey meat, and you'll be draining a ton of refined salt which is a bit harder to get unless you wanna farm them from T1 currency for halite.

Ghost card or Forge card might be handy to collect salt, they both seems to increase yield (to resources in general for former, and to ores for latter).
Maybe use Harvester's Workshop card to make tools that grants much higher yields?

Perfect Steak to Animal Fibre might make for a interesting 'super regen' coating build though.

EDIT: Completed my regen build for the shirt and pants, I doubled my HP regen alone using the shirt upgraded to epic, but the pants I gotta farm some T2 essence to finish.
