Course if not pistol aim let me dual weld it lol.
Clearly the problem is that you cannot aim down sights using RMB for some of the guns, not that you can't aim at all. RMB to ADS is intuitive and normal for most of us and will be hard for some people to stop trying to do. This is one thing I agree with, all firearms should have RMB set to aim down sights, period.
Using spells or reloading a gun are separate functions.
Well, I think it's good to think about gamepad users but it's important to have robust KB/Mouse controls and given how many buttons are on modern gamepads there's no good reason why there can't be separate controls for some of these actions. RMB should simply default to "aim down sight" for weapons that you would intuitively want to aim with like a pistol, shotgun, etc. They can easily make other keys/buttons dedicated options for the other actions.
Mine was simply just hunting for the heart shots. Nothing better than stalking a deer, sneak up to get a good shot, hitting right mouse to sight in and dashing into the heard instead.
I got lucky with the shotgun in the end. for a few hours after I heard my mate cursing as he kept trying to get heart shots (made worse by the fact in the real world he is an animal lover so its hard for him to kill them in games) That was a frustrating mission.
1) The range is literally dog water so aiming won't matter because most things will be close.
2) it's hit scan.. as long as the cross-hair is on the target it's a hit.. so no need to ADS.
For very short distance there is the shotgun, so it is possible that enemeys can reach you (if your damage is to low, you missed, or they are to much). So i can use block for emergency.
And the pistole is middle range, The aiming system isn´t that accurate that you have to zoom in / aim. And you have a mobility. There are some enemeys with range attack/charge where its useful. And the dash fits with every other one handed tool/weapon, where you have it.
Especialy for fps-shooter gamer its could tricky of course. But there are many other games where you can´t "more" aim / zoom in. I like that there are some developers who try a few other things and let even my old bones and muscle learn new tricks (i can remember that Dune was the first RTS and i played it). I hate that argument, every others make it this way, i want it that you do it also. But than we end up with every game is the same in different shapes... (like the state of the current AAA-Games) Stay flexible and learn to addapt new things.
