Sounds more like one of you have connection issues. Which regions are you playing on aka which Steam Download regions?
Are those other games finished (development wise) ? Because Nightingale sureley isn't !!!
No, but when I see co-op multiplayer, I do expect to be able to play co-op multiplayer. Especially when others can?
And Im not complaining or blaming the devs, Im asking for help to figure out what Im doing wrong. So relax ;) Im not attacking them.
Other times it works without problems.
This is most likely a problem with connection issues with your guys setup in combination that the devs haven't adjusted for everything yet.
Yesterday, connecting and changing realms was insanely slow. And it's not my network or my friends for sure :)
These things will improve with optimisation to the point where they decide it is not worth it (like so much else they copy from Icarus) and the player base gets aggravated enough, they implement offline mode or change it entirely and you won't have to worry about it :P
This something they are currently working on (connection problems). The next patch should address this.
Its possible that one of you got connected to the wrong server. This is a problem they are having with their current automatic server connection system. The new system will allow you to override the automatic choice (as it is sometimes the wrong choice).
Not sure how you can tell which server you are connected to, but if you are, it does cause connection drops like you are seeing.
