Planter boxes?

Anyone figure out how to use them?

I put two of them down.
I put a seed in both of them.
It says they need water.
I made a watering can.
Yet I cannot figure out how to water them.

Now I am wondering if this is another controller issue (like vendors, infusions, map location descriptions, etc not working with a controller.)

Hmmm. I had gone down to the water with the watering can but did not notice any way to fill it.

Hold RMB if I recall correctly.

But its supper bugged, half the time nothing grows the other I get 1 berry or 1 seed

Ok, I figured it out. For controller it is the block button to fill the watering can.
Button mashing ftw?

Stand in water, hold RMB to fill.
Hold LMB to pour water out.
Upgrading it with essences increases how much water it holds.

Don't bother unless it's for looks. It's a net loss on resources and some plants don't even grow.

Plant boxes are definitely bugged and not working most of the time.

Some seeds works, like camile, grown get 1 camile and up to 7 seeds
some seeds works not, like carrots, never grown
and some work very bad. Like wheat, grown, but i get only 1 wheat and no seed (with the cost 5 wheat per seed...), or hemp grown but get normal fiber and no seed.

yeah it does not work, planted some advanced fiber its been cople hours and nothing grew

Worked fine for me with sunflowers and camile.

Yeilds probably get higher with augments.

some stuff seems buggy, camile works well.
Plant seed -> Water it -> grows in like 1-2 min (place box outside and place a lightsource near it)

edit: sometimes you dont get seeds back, sometimes i got like 9 seeds and no flowers

5 mushrooms to make 1 mushroom seed. yields 1 mushroom. #broke. Some plants don't grow at all. (blueberries for one)

It's the actual loot tables for the plants themselves.

Sunflowers for example can grant either 6-7 seeds or 6-8 sunflowers, even when picked in the wild.

Where as wild wheat can only grant 1-3 wheat, i have never had a roll which grants me seeds.

The planter boxes just move said plant that is all.
Shame how it got overlooked tbh considering the game is about progression.

my plant boxes do absolutely nothing. doesn't matter how much they get watered.

Put the gathering charm on your Umbrella and it increases the yield when you pick the plants.
