You can make a base in every realm but it's not required in the least. Stock up on supplies and go farming in whatever realm you like. I go back to base maybe once every 5 hours.
Hell. In valheim you had to WALK back to base if you were carrying any sort of metal.
No, why the whole system doesn't work is say you forgot some mat that you had stored in your respite, now you have travel back just to get it. Say you want to upgrade your gear, all your workstations are at your respite, now you have to travel back to do it. There is no way to plan for everything because you don't know what you'll need. The constant "2 mins" adds up. Not to mention you have to return to the previous realm which takes another 2 min load up. This is kind of why non-contiguous survival/crafting games don't work, especially the way this game is doing it.
If you're noticing the load times, you're running home too much. The game give you tents and bedrolls for a reason.
How I come back to the realm where I get the quest and find the tower.
Do I realy have to craft new cards everytime to travel back. I dont understand this game
