Are we expected to build a base in every realm?
I get that we have a respite realm, but having to travel back and forth to it and waiting for servers is too long. I don't get it.

It takes like 2 minutes? usually less. Moving around in skyrim took infinitely longer.
You can make a base in every realm but it's not required in the least. Stock up on supplies and go farming in whatever realm you like. I go back to base maybe once every 5 hours.
Hell. In valheim you had to WALK back to base if you were carrying any sort of metal.

You have a base in your abeyance realm, if your brain is too fast to travel there when you need to go to your base then have fun making multiple bases!

I don't think you are expected to, but I found it much easier to have a camp built for the basics.

I guess you can if you want, but I don't feel like I need to in my experience. The most I've done is set up a quick survival tent, bed, and campfire if I need rest or extra food when exploring/gathering in other realms. After upgrading the pack to T1, I don't feel like I fill my inventory fast enough to need to offload stuff at home that frequently.

It's such a short loading screen. Hit the go home button then go to the bathroom or grab a snack and come back. Poof, you're there. I don't get these people.

No, why the whole system doesn't work is say you forgot some mat that you had stored in your respite, now you have travel back just to get it. Say you want to upgrade your gear, all your workstations are at your respite, now you have to travel back to do it. There is no way to plan for everything because you don't know what you'll need. The constant "2 mins" adds up. Not to mention you have to return to the previous realm which takes another 2 min load up. This is kind of why non-contiguous survival/crafting games don't work, especially the way this game is doing it.

I have had 0 issues with that, I take food and my tools. I spend 5 to 10 hours in a realm. Then go home when I'm done with it. You don't need to run back to base for every little upgrade you unlock or bp you buy. You make due with what you have. You're an "intrepid explorer lost in the realms" you're not SUPPOSED to return home every 10 minutes. You explore, grind, and harvest for a long session. Then go home, sort and craft.

If you're noticing the load times, you're running home too much. The game give you tents and bedrolls for a reason.

This probably wouldn't be such a big deal if the carrying capacity / weight wasn't a thing, I find myself 'overburdened' rather quickly. Even just the option to 'turn it off' would be great if you're going for a more casual play experience. I know they're working on offline play, I would love to see that as an option.

Best you get a recruitable NPC as soon as possible to help you carry the heavy stuffs you farming.

I place a tent next to the portal when I go realm diving. Bed, fire and a little bit of storage. I then can go in when needed and do some farming for materials or do some of the POI's if I haven't done them. Excess items I wish to carry back at some point I leave in storage at my tent. I then make a couple of trips to and from my main base to move those items. I do not really always need the tent but it is nice to have available.

Good question but where should I think about setting camping in the Forest/Desert/Swamp to maximize my looting? Do angler bags degrade if left it in the desert, or can set it and come back to it when I renter the realm?

I don´t get it. I was in my firsr realm and get a quest to go to a fea tower. therfore I have to repair, fill up my food and upgrade my weapons. So I travel back to my home base.
How I come back to the realm where I get the quest and find the tower.
Do I realy have to craft new cards everytime to travel back. I dont understand this game

No. You just go back to the portal and hit the Reopen Button. Unless you manually clear the link by resetting that portal will always stay attached. Nothing in this game is complicated if you just take the literal 5 minutes required to observe the UI and read ♥♥♥♥.
