What to do with Tool Heads (Axe / Pickaxe / Etc)

How do you use these components? Ive had them unlocked for a while since I got the Brazier, but it seems I cant just stick the heads onto the tool shafts. How do I use these things then? I see no recopies for any more benches in the traders, nor do I see anything that would unlock this ability.

Is this just "EA" Content thats not being used / place holders?

I assume it's for crafting higher level tools once you unlock better workbenches and recipes but i am not there yet so it is only a guess.

Yeah, I'm guessing it works that way mostly because I found a blade earlier.

bump, I made my pick head but it does not relate to the crafting of T2 picks refined or rugged??

You need the pick head for Tier 3 , hardend pick head Tier 3+ and artisanal pick head for Tier 3++ . The Refined Pick/Axe (Tier 2) only needs an ingot and a lumber
