There is a known issue after you alt tab that you cannot run anymore. But if you go in the inventory and exit, then it fixes that particular issue. Hope this helped

encumbered, one thing to notice is food is damned heavy in this game. I kept creeping up to the limit and finally figured it it wasn't rocks or logs, it was food.

Side note, this happens a lot to me due to streaming.
If you tab out ofnthe game suddenly you can't sprint, press escape to open the menu and then close the menu, you can now sprint again.

Having the same problem. Sometimes I can bring up the map and then I can run for a few seconds but it’s ruining multiplayer for me since they aren’t having the problem!
