They are working on Offline Mode
In that announcement, just now on Discord, they said they intended the game as a co-op or group game. I REALLY wish they said that originally because I would never have bought it. I play solo because all my friends prefer shooters, whereas I play survival/crafting games. Mostly because I like building.

You can play solo all you like.
Personally I wish they'd scrap the entire offline IDea all together. What they have works really well and plays great and I'd greatly prefer they just add more content and MMO type stuff then split their resources.

I personally dont care if I play offline or on, but the announcement did point out that the game was being built to be centred around group play originally, which kind of makes me feel like playing solo places me at a disadvantage for content or something else. IF the game was tailored to groups or co-op I imagine my grind will be exponentially crappier or harder in general because I was supposed to be with others. That is why I feel a bit disheartened by that. Naturally that may not be the case, but that is how it felt when i read it.

This is probably the easiest way for them to protect their game from pirates.

Any game. That has coop. Will be easier and faster if you coop. Any. All. Everyone. More people equals more things getting done at once. But no. You lose nothing being solo. Everything can be done solo easily and they give you an NPC to help you do it all.

I think thats why they added a.i followers to fill the gap of playing co op if you are a solo player. example would be Kelvin from Sons Of The Forest

The entire end game is based around doing group activities. Steam needs Solo-Online as an option instead of Single Player. This is not a single player game really. You level solo or with friends but end game seems geared towards co-op groups. Which was the part that isn't totally clear until you get playing.

Ah. OK. I forgot about the follower. I haven't gotten that far in the game yet.

Wonder what changed their mind? Probably made so much money with such busy servers.

I don't understand your comment. Palworld has no drm... I could pirate it right now in 30 seconds.

it's just them trying to monetize the game through microtransactions. The shop will be working in pristine shape though ... just not your side

Yeah. It looks like reaching endgame will literally end my game unless I restart. Taht kind of sucks.

All the people moaning that's what changed their minds.

Would of preferred the dev time on you know, working on bugs and adding content.

The end game. IS RAIDING AND GROUP. CONTENT. THat needs. To be. ONline. I do not know how easier or simpler to make that statement without somehow turning it into an interpretive dance with puppets.
