where to farm wheat and coal

Hello,

as the title says, I just beat the herbarium Tower and will go to the desert herbarium realm. I need wheat for food and coal for gunpowder. I am having trouble gathering either of them. In which realms are they most likely? I know coal is a black rock, but I dont even know how wheat looks like. Its not the yellow tuffs that i would expect it to be. Also, growing wheat does not work since you only get one back per seed, for which you need 5 wheat :D

I need the answer too! Tried asking on the official discord but the only answer I got was put wheat in the grinder What grinder? And where to find the wheat in the first place? Haven't found anything yet :( help would be much appreciated!

Hey guys! You probably know already, but wheat is in the forests next to the human huts and traders. It didn't seem like you can farm wheat as of the moment, it didn't seem to yield seeds in harvest. Coal is in the caves and underground ruins.

There is a hut in the gloom swamp for a guy named Danu....he is part of a quest and marked on the map... if you go there his house and surrounding area has samples of almost every farm/plant in the game. A great way to start (and his quest is pretty trivial too)

I said this because about 90% sure he has wheat... also worth mentioning... I do less caving for coal these days since I can pick it up pretty easily by destroying containers in the watch vault runs....

You can get a fair amount of coal from Vault containers/barrels via The Watch (or via the Vault Cards if you want them all to yourself)

I've spent ages trying to find wheat. It's white in colour and looks like tall grass - like the normal fiber grass. You have to pick it by hand.

I think the topic was created before the last patch that increased the amount of seeds form the crafting bench and wheat was increased in how much grew.

The best places I have found for all types of crops is near the decorative type mini locations like camps and such.

forego coal and look for bound flamethrowers. they drop gunpowders easy enough
