You need to go to Quarantine and make an execption for the executable file of the game
Probably the same people who think Tencent is the only company spying on their data LOL.
Aren't all anti virus programs third party? What do you mean? Although I have to be honest, your comment is not exactly helpful
Given all AV is third party then the comment regarding third party AV stands as a valid statement, even though technically it was a rhetorical question, I assume.
I think my first problem was, that the exe (NWXClient-Win64-Shipping.exe) in Steam\steamapps\common\Nightingale\NWX\Binaries\Win64
was quarantined by my AV.
now i try to find out how it got blocked, because a scan shows a secure file.
Virustotal: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/579b5e9796a6d5026c1a921a965c9e1da29aea8a995f52101915678c96f3d566?nocache=1
edit: Starting the game causes Avast to block the mentioned file.
Edit2: when the file is blocked you get the following Error:
Couldn't start: "... Steam\steamapps\common\Nightingale\NWX\Binaries\Win64\NWXClient-Win64-Shipping.exe" NWX -projectName flx-live -featureSet flighting
CreateProcess() returned 2.
Correct method by providing it to Virustotal. With that you can be almost certain it is a false positive report. And then just whitelist and you are good to go.
so still not sure if it's 100% safe.
