Or maybe.. wait.. Early Access!
Early Access means that you want to try the unfinished game before release to be able to give feedback and observe the developement. The developers state it very clearly on the shop page that the game is, in fact, not finished and requires 8 to 12 months of work.
You cannot buy an Early Access game and expect it to be a finished product, it literally makes no sense.
It's the new age of gaming, or rather the new age of scammers. As long as consumers accept everything, why do it any differently? It's kind of fun to watch if you stay out of it.
Come back in two years, the game may be good, or it may be abandoned, or it may be a complete failure
Or you can simply stop being driven by FOMO and make informed decisions, knowing what to expect :) If you want a finished game in a good technical state, you simply don't buy EA and don't buy games on release, waiting for detailed reviews by people you trust. It's that easy.
EA made some of my favorite games possible, it is a great model when used correctly: by gaining new capital, independent developers don't have to rush version 1.0 just so their studio doesn't go bankrupt. Baldur's Gate 3 was possible only thanks to EA, as was Divine Divinity 2 and a bunch of other amazing games.
Yeah it's too bad Steam never implemented something like that, eh? I bet if Steam created a page like the one below, applied some sort of Early Access tag to games that aren't fully released yet, and then linked the page, it would be super helpful! Because obviously gamers love to inform themselves before spending their mom.. I mean their own money.

I agree, the game's not in a great place right now! But it's still EA. I'll worry about it when it's actually released.
And no, not everything is EA. Since the end of January we've gotten GBF: Relink (awesome game), Persona 3 Reload, Helldivers 2 (awesome game), Islands of Insight, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, and now Pacific Drive. Those are just the games off the top of my head, and that's not close to everything coming in the next couple months.
It's really not a big deal.
0 Steam Level, no further response from OP, total troll.
