Are biome maps/terrain always the same?

For my home biome I picked forest, then when generating my first real I choices the forest with antiquarian card.

I was surprised they the map of the new forest biome seemed identical to the map of the home forest biome. The grass color and creatures colors were different, and the POIs seemed randomized, but terrain and map seemed exactly the same.

Is that how it’s going to be for all realms? That isn’t what the marketing material led us to believe, that each real was unique…

I haven't noticed anything as similar as that and have gone through a couple forest biomes so far.

My estate realm was different from my Antiquarian realm but I find I can't reset portals to make a new realm with the same cards. I've seen videos that that worked for some to help with t1 essence farming.

Hmm what do you mean by “reset portal”

Well once a portal has been opened you can reopen or reset it and use new cards. I believe my issue in not getting a fresh realm was that I tried to do the same cards and didn't change it up and then use the previous combo of realm cards.

Ok got it. Interesting. Haven’t generated enough realms so no idea yet
