Estate Cairns not working

I'm building a base on my friends realm and i built an estate cairn but every time i leave the realm to explore a new one and try to return to my estate via the map button it just respawns me in the realms default spawn. Way far away from where we set up base. I can go to the cairn but I have to destroy it and rebuild it to set it as my respite point everytime.

Interesting. I thought you could only build an estate cairn in your respite realm, not a friend's realm. I think you can't have two different players estate cairn in one realm. It claims that realm as your respite, which isn't shared. Someone correct me if I'm wrong here. I've not experimented with this myself, just repeating what I've heard.

Anyone find a good wiki on this game? So far, I've seen one that is empty.

you can build an estate cairn in a realm with other people we have 6 players in our game but have run into the issue of a build limit blocking further base building like chests and such, but you can only have 1 cairn so you can't have one is a different realm and teleport between them.

As for teleporting to the starting point and not your cairn I can't help you with that as it happened to me and I just rebuilt the cairn and it stopped happening so if its constant I don't know of a different solution.

You can build the cairn anywhere to hinder respawns.
However the recall to respite ONLY works to the one you built in the Abeyance realm.

You can go to a cairn and 'set' it as a main respite point.

its buggy
my co-op partner is able to build the cairn in my realm, and we share a single base
but every so often the cairn stops working and they instead get teleported to the starting spot of the realm, and have to run back to base and build a new one, which works for a while before stopping again
they didn't build anything or do anything in their abbeyance

Yep, this is me too. Didn't do anything in my original realm, went straight to co-op. Every so often (after getting kicked maybe?) I end up at the original spawn for the area - which is a long damn way from where we built. Run my butt home, destroy cairn, rebuild. Works for a bit then I end up back at spawn.

To add insult to injury the map shows the correct location and the cairn knows it is my respawn point, it just doesn't work. Trying to teleport to it just dumps me at island spawn again.

My brother had this issue. He had to destroy his Cairn and make another one and that fixed the problem.

I just destroyed mine and it won't let me build another one, left click just simply does nothing
Edit: oddly enough it still treats this realm as my respite, but puts me 600 away
