"Realm Card Machine in Use"

I re-opened the portal to my starter Realm but when i got there i noticed that the portal on that Realm is not open and the machine just says "Realm Card Machine in Use" i can't interact with it and i can't leave this realm or progress the game. anyone else run into this issue? any workarounds to fix this? (besides making a new character)

I am currently having the same issue. I had a friend come and put down a new portal and he put new cards in and opened it for me. I went into a new realm to build a base. (Can't build a crude portal myself). Went to the big portal so that I can go to a place to progress the story but I can't open that portal now either. I thought it was that particular realm but it seems to be my character. I really don't want to make a new character either.

I submitted a bug report about this and just gave it some time, for some random reason my large portal started working again after 50-60mins. Unfortunately, i have no idea what fixed it. Just don't give up on your character yet

If you open your map, there's a button for return to respite. You can always pull the cord and go back to your abeyance realm where your base is.

Yes but I can't leave that respite. That's where I am at. It looks like changing it to a public realm opened one up. I will see if I can open a different one after I get what I need in this one

same here, cant get away from starting Realm (the one after tutorial) so game over for now.... I wonder why they had a beta (and i mean not the wonderfull stress test)

yeah im having the same issue

I have had one where I opened a portal but it failed to generate.
Now when I put that combo into the machine it only allows me to re-open that one but it didn't work originally so everytime I try it just stays totally empty.
If I put in any other combination of realms they work fine.
Go back and retry the broken one even after exploring others, restarting, swapping between the games portal or my own it fails. Just totally broken and it's the storyline one -forest provisioner - so that's that I guess. FUBAR.

Anyway just wanted to suggest trying a few different combos to see if you are totally stuck or just minorly stuck. Be aware that if you do have a borked realm combo and it's not fixable it might stop your progression later on even if you can kind of work around it for now.

You can reset the portal by interacting with it (there should be an option for that somewhere).

Alot of the time issues like this are due to desync with the primary game server. Fully restarting the game generally fixes these.

The annoying bug I had was that in a Forest Ab, going down to the Gloom PoI to unlock that tier completely crashes you out. Had to do it in a swamp to get it.

i had a cooldown for like 10 Hours like Grim explaint with 50-60 min, sadly it was for me longer, but it worked now.
