No available item to apply infusion

I've reached the point in the main questline where you need to craft an uncommon upgrade, i crafted an infusion and tried to apply it to a gear piece but it says nothing is eligible. Am I missing something? Hope someone can help me out, cheers.

Just for clarification, is the simple clothing not tier 1? I assume not given that it's not letting me apply upgrades. Thank you for the quick response

I've got T1 Green equipment, weapons and armor and I still can't manage to apply infusions from the inventory. Any suggestions?

How did you even acquire green equipment? I'm still trying to figure that part out.

I found this happens when server crashes while your trying to do something, you can do nothing untill server boots you. One of the great features of being online only even though your playing the tutorial.

I only just noticed that there's an upgrade bench, I feel stupid hahaha, guess I know the answer to my question. Gotta use the upgrade bench THEN apply the upgrade

ok so it does not mention that i have found what the infusions GO TO, but they only got to certain items. BUT u also need to follow the quest/story till u get the upgrade bench. then u can COLOR/green/blue+ ur gear u craft. they get an infusion each rarity u up them

You need to progress through the main story quests.

I'm still having issues infusing items, even after upgrading their rarity.

you can use an upgrade bench with essence to upgrade to 'uncommon (green)'
