Thank you for adding offline mode!

I just wanted to express my thanks for adding this feature. In today's world you're damned if you do damned if you don't, so I thought it might be nice to hear a thank you instead of having people rail at you each way.

For Steam Deck players, for people in small towns, for people who travel a lot, for people stationed in remote outposts, and many, many more examples, offline mode can make or break a purchase for a lot of players.

For me it's always at the top of my list, if a game is online only it's a pass. I'm super busy and on the go a lot, so my Steam Deck is my daily driver way more than my desktop, so anything online only is almost always a pass for me.

Thank you again for adding this feature, I'll be picking Nightingale up shortly :D

We were happy to do it! Now...one caveat: offline mode does not work on Steam deck just yet. The team is actively working on it, though, because we know Steam Deck is an important option for playing offline.

I'm glad to hear it's being looked into! I wonder if setting the launch options to make the game not identify the system as a steam deck, SteamDeck=0 %command%, might be a temporary workaround?

I'll be picking up Nightingale later today and will see if that works; depending on what's keeping offline mode from working on the Deck, that might provide some insight into how to solve the issue.

Is it a REAL offline mode? Can i start and play the game without internet connection?

IT might Work with Steam Deck ! I am playing this on my Lenovo legion ans my Asus rog Ally and its great !

Oh and btw... The Performance ist now much better !

Yeah there ist now an offline Mode... A real one... People are conplaining about that they still need to log in on Steam, and yeah they are right BUT If you Log into steam in offline Mode you can Play this offline ! I Just tested IT ...

People are hateting and argueing about nothif again... Need to Post this so everyone knows how IT works...

I gave the launch option a try and while it didn't present the message stating offline mode isn't available on the Steam Deck, it instead wouldn't work in general. The game launched to a screen attempting to sign-in then after a while it times out.

Still, I don't mind waiting for the issue to be resolved, thank you again!

Also enjoying offline mode, haven't played for a few months but the QoL improvements are very nice, it is also faster loading wise and performance overall has been really good too.

I just bought Nightingale as it now features offline mode. I am a Steam Deck player though (and a handheld SD player entirely) so was a little gutted to see it’s not usable on the SD yet (perhaps I missed it in the news text somewhere) but this post isn’t a moan about that. I’m now just eagerly anticipating a SD Offline mode and hope it can be something that I can get my hands on soon. Here’s hoping…

Agree.
No waiting for home realm to be ready so you can go home.
Portal open more quickly.
Loading your save is quicker.
Buying items from traders by quickly clicking F is so much more quicker. Hopefully a way to bulk buy in future updates.
