Ok, thx, found the trader. There was a second one.
There's often several traders - couple of minor ones and one being the 'real' trader.
And slingbows have longer ranges than revolvers and sometimes even Rifles because the projectile doesn't despawn at all it seems.
I take a revolver and shoots at something 50 feet away and the bullet just disappears.
Ok, but this wasn't the question. ;-)
It's the price to pay for no bullet drop, I guess.
Note that the handle is made of a pole and fasteners.
The pole is made from lumber. Gilded lumber also counts as lumber.
To make gilded lumber, you combine lumber and a metal. If you combine swam wood tier 4 (25% ranged damage) with a magnesium ingot (20% range and 15% ranged damage) that will be better than any plain lumber you could use.
Also combine with magnesium, pursuit or copper fasteners to make the actual handle. (Depends if you prefer an emphasis on range, damage, or magic).
Such substitutions cannot always be done, but when they can, it's a nice way to put a bit of extra work into making a better weapon, without being too cheesy.
