refined climbing picks and umbrella bug?

i bought the 2 recipes from desert herbarium realm....

i built refined workbench... it lists all the simple tools... and the refined knife/mining pick, sickle, axe...

but DOES NOT list the umbrella/climbing picks!

It's a bit weird, but only the nearest augmentations are counted, and there's a maximum number allowed per station. Build more stations and/or play musical chairs until you get the correct augmentations in the list.

You can see what augment stations are required by looking at the recipe in the guidebook.

ok... and how do i get augments for the stations? i have seen videos of people using stations with added extras but not a video that explains how

The stuff you might think is decor is actually augments for the workstations; wheelbarrow, sawhorse, etc. You build them the same way you build everything else; press B, then select them from the list on the left.

Again: check the guidebook to see what augments are necessary to make the items you want to make, and ensure that those are the closest items to the workstation you need to build the item on.

ohhh nice one, thx... yeh the game does a Pi** poor job of explaining anything once you set up shop at the abeyance lol

It explains everything; the problem is that most players don't want to read more than a sentence or two at a time, so they skip anything that looks like it might be a "useless wall of text". No Man's Sky has the same problem; I see people in the forums all the time, asking how to do things that are displayed on the screen in the screenshot they shared to show where they were having the issue.

This game is one of those that requires a little more mental effort, that's all.
Stop skipping the tutorial info. Read everything. If in doubt, read it again.
If you still don't get it, look in the guidebook so you can read it a third time.

I have checked all the info! I also bought the recipe for climbing picks at the seller near Nelly Bly in the Herborium. And I have what's necessary .. the Refined work bench and a connected simple map. But the refined climbing pick still doesn't show up. Does anyone know why.

Either 1: you have too many augments attached to your bench and it's not seeing the one you need,

OR

More likely, you didnt scroll all the way down. The recipee is not placed with the other tools you can craft, if you keep scrolling down the list in your bench to the "decor recipees" there are more things to craft there.
