Where is the clothing for Body style B?
I have clicked "C" in game, brought up the entire list of traders and looked through them. It isn't until the very end game that there is what appears to be a BoDy StYle B coat, and it's the puffy lime green one the druid npc's wear. Ugh. No choice even for a skirt instead of pants to go with the earlier "Mens" coats. AKA "Body Style A". Nothing that looks anything like the trailer, nothing Victorian, not a single Body Style B hat even. Nothing like the trailer or anything else they've advertised. All I see are Body Style A clothing with boobs slapped on the front. Is this diversity? No choice at all?

I am hoping maybe I slipped up and missed the big reveal after ragsuits. Did see a high end fugly turban. I'm hoping that is an error and was supposed to be something Victorian, Edwardian, you know, in keeping with the game as it was advertised. And no, EA BSery doesn't cut it. They have had time to make 27 worthless lights and not a single bit of womens, errr sorry, Body Type B clothing until end game and it is just pitiful, reused asset off npc.

Am hoping I don't have to wait for the cash shop to open for appropriate gear. Please someone, help me here. Thanks so much.

Well I know you're more polite than me so ill just say it, we have Man or Woman to choose during the start, I have not come across any of the only 2 genders clothing style in the game.

Don't be too sad tho, I did manage to unlock a recipe for a weathered hat and now I look like a proper Nigel Thornberry... that has to count for something lol.

I was mostly being sarcastic. Humor is difficult on the internet. I just got that hat recipe too. Haven't looked at it yet.

Most of the early clothing is based on Hunter Trapper and then "safari" style outfits.

This may shock you but many women during the Victorian Period wore trousers on Safari if they were along for more than just the ride.

While I don't disagree with you... There are actual quotes with women stating they wore trousers on safari. So it is not surprising this team doesn't have anything until later in the game.

Women generally wore all the Victorian finery even mountain climbing so though a few might have wore pants, especially while horse or camelback, generally nope, not so much. Pictures of ladies with their parasols hiking across the trail of 98 in Alaska, wending their way across Nepal, down through the valleys and twisted trails of India, everywhere, in their Victorian finery. They were real adventurers, no Vibram soles on those boots. Though I must say, photos of Mallory ascending Mt Everest in his Harris tweeds might be my fav. That's one of the reasons at least a few of us thought this game would be a breath of fresh air. It's what the trailers show. Instead we have goofy version of Body Style A & B as homeless Tarzans ina turban followed way too far along by only guy attire, as noted above. Sad times.
I'm still hoping I missed a trader or something somewhere, but it's not lookin good.

Are you talking about the staged photos? The stories of the time suggest that women that weren't just along for the ride wore trousers.

Now I don't disagree more options would be nice.... the way you are doing it though... not becoming.

Most of the clothing pictured in the trailers was starter clothing which is based on whatever background you chose. There are some better choices as you collect and build the little augment/decor items to boost your workbenches and also if you have not link your account to twitch as they currently have drops for the game in the style you want but you will only get them in twitch purple, at least starting out. I'm not sure if they change color based on the components used like the other clothing items and weapons, also you get a little pet dog that drops essence randomly around your house.

Do you have to watch twitch to get them?

Yes but i just put something else on a different tab or played some games. 8 hours watch time for the pupper, WORTH

If you have to do something other than "play the game" to get it, it's not an in-game item.

There's enough disrespect for my time in the crafting objects in this game; I'm certainly not going to sit on my thumbs and watch somebody else play to get something to play with on my own... that's like telling me to go watch the kids play on the slide for a couple days so I can maybe have a turn to slide next week.

I already paid for the game (and the always-on internet access it inexplicably requires), you don't get to also gate me behind non-game activities. For that matter, it's not WoW... why do I need to be connected to a server for what is largely (if not entirely) a single-player experience?

TL;DR: "Twitch drops" and any other form of "engagement" that aren't "playing the game I bought" can go swing. If I can't complete the game Vanilla, then the game isn't complete.

If you look at some of the shirts and jackets you'll notice their models are designed around females, but the actual male icons and the model are different because of the skeleton.

You see round curves where the bust is on the shirt icon.

I do agree they could have more variety, heck even the more womanly flluffy pants that existed. Perhaps they could push some of dresses sooner in the crafting tiers...

But my GUESS is that they associated dresses- the opposite of fit for exploration- wich happens to have stats for precisely that as something higher tier. In that logic non high tier dresses would be the worst clothes in the game...

And we can confirm thats the kind of logic they went with- start a new character as body b, then put the difficulty 1 step before the hardest 'naked' wich is called CIVILIAN. Dresses, from the start, with literally the worst clothing stats

Said lady civilian fitted with an out of place dress in a strange dangerous world would need to quickly change into something more fitting and rough, going wild survivor, then expert survivor- then one day already mastering fae enchantments and charms and one of the best parading around with a really fancy dress that kicks

But most likely they only took that route because of the PIPELINE of pretty much every game- you put the nicer looking kits progressively through the game with the nicest coming last
Promotional things like the twitch drop being the exception, wich adds up to the exceptional emotional and optics attached to 'special exclusitivity' of promotional itens.

They want things player look foward to down the line. If you had the dresses now thats one less thing to look foward...
'Get gud, lvl up to a proper realm walker'(end game) - is the kind of vibe they seem to be going for. Same thing with pets, or if we ever have mounts etc etc. If one day they manage to add a victorian bike for the funny you bet that bike will be crazy expensive to craft or hard to find the blueprint. Thats the dresses for you

Keep in mind theyre clearly intended to stay out of cliches in games that arent victorian like armor and such- all that is left is fancy clothing, and heck victorian dresses are either poor factory worker (wich also used pants in most scenarios) or they all look fancy. They wanted to make everything fancy back then. I bet they cleaned their asses with fancy apparatus with nicer handiwork then anything we buy nowadays. They had frilly porcelain chamber pots fgs

Love those last two pictures. The ones before then I think are actually 1910s to 30s. Anyway, what is advertised and what we get is pretty different. I would like your take on why it's so much better to use my Sycle than a real weapon but let's not go there. Ok, no swords, then how about a nice fencing foil, or a machete.

Sorry I'm just personally disappointed that my toon has to wear her hippo ragsuit for over 60 hours. I have an entire large trunk of stuff to make gear with and am sure I'll end up just trashing it all. So many mats and not really anything to do with them but must keep all since no clue what will be needed. Game sometimes just feels like make work but no clue why.

+1 to Upside down re twitch.
