I kinda wish those quests had like a job board that showed the ENTIRE project and all resources needed and checked them off as you completed them... because I had one where I thought I had finished it but then finally noticed that there was an entire separate building I actually walked past it several times.. then had to go get another bunch of stone and THEN inside that was 3 small tool boxes that required "refined wood" so I had to scour the land for chests to break apart to get refined wood.. all this for a MEASLY 21 T1 essence they need to increase that reward like 5x.. lol.... anyways that sucks. Sorry.
What the game needs is precise control over companions. There are plenty of good examples of needed features. The ability to give commands, to set follow distance, to set combat behavior, to be able to disable resource gathering when using tools. This is just the start. There are more games then I can possibly list that have good companion systems. This one needs a lot of work to be even remotely comparable.
I stopped giving my "recruit" things almost instantly. I also took away all tools from her. She has a maul... she hits things that is all I need. They need some Companion controls to make them a bit more useful.
I see what they were trying to do... and honestly they can be super useful... if left to do there thing... but I like control.
maybe just don't give higher tier wood then!?
would be the same like when you would fire her. except all not burnable things would be carried anyway
"keeps burning" as in "I saw that she made it so I thought I'll give her higher tier woods again and again..." ?
