Do you know how to have more than one spell active at a time?
After i crafted a new Amor Set with ~100 more magic than the old one the Heal goes from around 300 Hp to 800 HP.
Right now the spells are a bit spread out to keep players grinding to keep collecting them.
Worth mentioning that it might not be gimped... this is EA and more spells / epic clothing could come along later that could make the current spells seem feeble, whereas the guns, etc matured much quicker in what we think is endgame but is probably "mid-game" once EA is over. But.... we judge based on what we know and right now magic is a little weak.
TBH, I only use Quake these days (late end game). It's great for CC. The damage I'm getting is averaging around 1k but it's really about the CC. Even with charms, it doesn't keep up with melee.
I wish they'd remove the cap on Swarm - that would make it competitive with the ranged weapons and let us see how magic competes at high levels.
The other end of that stick is that since ingot folding was deemed an exploit, there's no way to say that pistol's damage numbers are legitimate. It's entirely possible that the numbers we're throwing at ~ 300 magic is supposed to be the top end, and it's the pistol that's out of scale.
I've not gotten to "end-game" yet so I don't really know what I'm talking about, but outlier numbers are (by definition) the exception, not the rule.
