Using Shared Crafting Stations

A friend and I are playing together and combined everything in a shared Abeyance realm. We recently got the Watch and have started the upgrade processes to excellent benches and purple gear. We didn't have enough essences for each of us to buy everything separately so we split it up.. I bought some of the stations and he bought some of them.

We can use the stations that each other created BUT we cannot move the station if we don't know how to create it. I find that really dumb.

Second thing, I cannot use the excellent upgrade station because I don't know how to make it (because he bought the recipe and crafted it). I find that REALLY dumb. What's the point of sharing if its going to be handled that way?

I'm starting to feel like there is too much attempt to force things a certain way and control how its done.

It gets better. If your friend makes you weapons you can use them but cant repair them so youll have to give them back to him to repair. The main things you both need are the workbench, sewing station and upgrade station. everything else you guys can pretty much split until you have enough essence to buy them all.

Is that because you don't know how to make it, so you don't know how to fix it... or is it because someone else made it? One of those is acceptable, the other is... game breaking, in my opinion.

WTF does this have to do for offline mode?? It's how they designed the game.. any other game in existence offline or otherwise if I make you a weapon and give it to you.. you can use it, repair it, destroy it.. also they are already working on it.. so.. thanks for stopping by..

No IF I make my friend a weapon while I'm making myself one.. even if they know the recipe they can not repair it.

You know in most games you are like.. "I'm gonna make (x) you want one?" well too bad.. better off letting them do it themselves.

Yes, the game purposely does not have shared progression. You can share a base, you can do missions together, but each must do all the progression steps, which includes getting the essence to buy the blueprints apparently.

From what I heard, this is so you don't ruin the challenge for those you play with.

The game doesn't appear to actually have all the support and features needed to play well together though. I tried it and just ended up getting annoyed that the person I played with finished a bunch of the tower of power without me and removed all the loot and killed all the enemies. Nothing respawns in those except the boss at the end.

fine i will break it down for you:

** I cannot use a crafting bench i do not know the recipe for if someone else makes it....

** i cannot repair weapons if someone else has made them

** Same for clothes

** ETC

Imagine someone sold you a TV that they made (sony philips LG) but you can't repair it because they only know how to. This is Nightingale. If it stays this way, then I guess we can't make items to sell to people later on, we can't be traders even though my background is trader....strange. Well, we can, they just can't repair it and they have to come back to us for a new one...Damn it is just like Sony LG and the likes.

Not really going to work in this game is it really. I sell you a sword and every day you have to come back to me so I can repair the sword. Think we will both get fed-up with that.

it is for this reason (and many others) the devs need to be honest with their future plans HERE ON STEAM!!!!!

Devs who release on steam NEED TO BE vocal ON STEAM otherwise they risk losing a lot of people (not just this dev team... ANY dev team who use steam as the SALES and EVERY OTHER MEDIA OUTLET as their news stations MAKES NO SENSE AT ALL!!!

When is our BACKGROUND supposed to mean anything at all??? IS it even supposed to mean anything EVER< or is it just flavor to make people look (try to look) UNIQUE??? sorry but that only works right at the start until EVERYONE is in exactly the same clothing LOL
