Yeah, you stop it happening by removing the stump after cutting down the tree normally.

Once the stump is gone, Carnute cannot respawn the tree.
Don't do that to every tree in the realm tho, since once you remove the stump that tree is gone from the realm forever.

Just build-transfer to a cliff edge. Only thing there is rock and they not going to destroy the abode.

I've seen several reports from people on reddit about trees respawning even after they chopped the stumps. Game has bugs, as one would expect in EA.

The ghost moose doesn't go everywhere. The only real solution right now seems to be not to build where he does travel.

You could enter a bug for this. Seems like it should be on there list already though.

For all that there are ways to avoid this I agree that it would be nice if foundations stopped things growing back. Generally if you remove the stump you should be fine but I have seen comments where they regrow anyway after some sort of reset or maybe it was the patch.
Whatever it was it would be better if it was stopped by default.

If you do need to move you can usually carry full chests around as if they were weightless and you can fully plan out your new abode before moving. Ripping down a house just involves removing the foundations although you should look out for the odd wall lamp and such that can hang around. It's not entirely as painful to move if you use those tricks as it could be if you don't.

Fix it for sure but if it's really an issue for you then I suggest you move. A little short term pain for a long term gain and if you are like me building a new house from scratch is half the fun. You already have the raw materials for it so that's a lot of time saved. Just be sure to remove things properly and don't whack em with an axe and you get all your resources back.

stump removal is a myth - sometimes the trees do respawm, on 1 occassion about 5 times, as fast as I could remove it!

Removed all stumps, trees still grew in my house and are now indestructible. Nice ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game for 30 bucks.

That shouldn't be the case. Can you raise a ticket with the support team at {LINK REMOVED} and we'll look into it
