Way to increase realm difficulty upon creation?
So, I noticed that I could add stats to paper and ink, my theory was that I could increase the quality of the paper and ink when making realm cards to increase the realm power and thus get better resources, but so far that seems to not work.

I crafted a forest realm card out of crude materials, and then a forest realm card out of tier 2 forest paper and vibrant ink. Both of them are still 0 realm power. I'm not really sure what I'm doing wrong here. Why would they allow me to put stats on paper if it isn't applicable to something? As far as I can tell paper is only used for realm cards. Does anyone know of a way to boost realm difficulty from the creation of a realm?
I don't really want to go all the way into an existing realm and use a transmuter and put in "Deep Fae Wilds" to boost its difficulty, that seems a little weirdly roundabout. I'm trying to farm mats and boost the difficulty as such while manipulating the difficulty drop down.
Someone tell me the options, if you've found any, for empowering realms. I can't go into level 80 realms yet because they're too strong for me atm, (scorpions and such do alot of damage and are tanky) but level 60 realms feel rather week, so I'm trying to "middle ground it" with resources but that seems to do nothing.

When you're at the portal machine... there's a drop down box on the bottom left. You can adjust the difficulty of the realm there. It'll generate harder enemies, and spawn more of the rare resources.

I am using that drop down list for difficulties, but I was hoping there was a way to boost the difficulty by other means.
Is there even any point to using higher grade materials for realm cards?

There are a lot of stuff which made different in the ingredience, but with zero effects. Cards are some of them, no effect of it, but they won´t stack. Potions are the same. Different glas, no stacking, but no benefit.
The only part with the whole different tiers and stats of materials are for the gear. The tier set the base gearscore and the stats on the mats boost only stats, that are already on the base item.

To increase the difficult you have to choose the higher difficult on the portal. Than you get higher scored realms. But when you don´t feel ready for 80s realms, than its not matter if you open a gloom on medium or push a lower card with the difficult to 80. Its the same power.

If you fight with the axe scorpions and the robots could be your first enemey with resitance against your axe. Pickaxe or maul is the way to go here. When the damage numbers are red, your weapon deal the wrong damage type.
Another way is the flame spell to increase your weapon, its override the damage typ during its effect (low level charged least for 3 hits, at higher for 6).

Edit: oh, and food benefit from different tiers and stats.

no it does not matter what ink/paper you use they do not have stats.

You play a gloom minor card, it won't be any harder, but it would increase the volume of bound to fight.

Damn, that's a shame. I was hoping i could artificially increase the difficulty. You'd think that it could work that way given the way stats can be applied. Thank you all.

But does that make the resources better? I'm trying to make a realm for farming fiber and wood atm.

For that u can use the other cards that u can put in 1 of those... forgot the name for it, new player still, but that adds a bonus to ur realm. There r cards that boost wood and fiber drops, and ther er cards that boost stone and such and cards for more essence or treasure.... make different portals with different realms and use a special card on each 1 so u can have realms for wood farming, stone farming etc etc. Then u can just realm hop.

no, for better ressource you have to play on higher scored maps, minor cards increase only the amount of drops

Do you know what realm card is good for boosting the drops of fiber and/or wood? I'm trying to get those right now. I need to stock up on tier 2 materials.

I see. Do you know if abeyance realms can have better resources? I tried going to difficulty 40 on an abeyance realm and could not find ANY tier 1 or tier 2 resources, only crude. Yet difficulty 40 on an antiquarian realm of the same biome gives better resources.

I never tried it. But there are no wood/fibre spots for tier-wood/fibre (they are everytime in small spots, never as a single tree or fibre). So it could only effect the ores and perhaps the animal drops, but 40 should be to low for T2 ore/hide/essence.
But you can also find on the wood/fibre spots even in low tiers very rare up to T5 (but it needs 230 GS tools)

Sorry no, not at the top of my head.... i've seen 1 in game, and i think i still have 1.... It has a downside tho, u get more mats but i believe stamina is halfed and inventory items weigh more or sumthing like that... so there r downsides to it... Not sure if there r cards with just positives to farming mats.... But like i isaid, still a new player here so i am not that knowledgable but i do know there r cards that do this as i have seen sum already. Just forgot their names and i am not playing right now so i can't check names.
