The big reset box (on opened portals) just only reset your cards in the portal, not the realms.
Much obliged, thank you!
I just went through a activated portal i already went through before. Same Card and difficulty configuration. Nothing changed. But the realm was completely different and all my progress there lost.
Homebase still intact though.
Right now it seems no realm is safe from being deleted. Pretty bad.
Thats nice for you, but believe me when i say, i had "non home realm" deleted and "rerolled" today without me changing anything at the open portal.
Did u place new cards with the same biome? Or did u select, reopen the portal without placing new cards? The moment u place new cards, it resets to a new realm. That's what i understand of it as i read ppl's posts.... if u choose not to reopen the portal but place new cards, even with the same type of cards as befoe, that old realm is gone. Just click reopen the portal and do nothing else, that should keep it the same... Select not to reopen the portal but placing new cards, removes the old realm. As far as i know.
Of course its an early access, you should always be ready that some bad bugs can happen, or all your "work" can wipe (by bugs or by dev-patches). Its always sad when something happens, but that´s what the warning mean on the shopsite.
every difficulty level is part of the combination. If you had previously gone to a medium desert hunt realm, and then change difficulty to extreme and use the same card combo, you are going to a completely new map.
Difficulty level + biome + major card = its own unique save slot. Each slot, once generated, can be reset separately.
If you built a lot of stuff on medium desert hunt, then make an extreme desert hunt realm, you can re-set the extreme desert hunt as much as you want. It will not affect the medium desert hunt realm. And vice versa.
