I'm not to Tier 3 yet. Just breaking into Tier 2 and have loads of stuff to use them for other than repairing.
If Tier 3 trivializes repair, then why not just make repair trivial?
There's just no sensible reason why it cost more to repair your tool than the value of what you got swinging that tool. I realize there's some sort of issue with repair all not working properly but even faffing around clicking them individually you make a loss. I want to focus on mining/building up my base not go gallavanting around solving music puzzles (which can't because sound broken atm lol) and clearing out monsters just so I can keep my pickaxe in repair. It was fine how it was.

Also, from another, identical thread:
"From what I have read from others and observed, Clicking Repair All, charges you full price to repair each item from 0 (broken) to fully repaired.
You can repair each item at a time when they break rather than at full cost even when it is 295/300."
