Repairing Items uses Essence Dust
Just a heads up but it looks like repairing uses Essence Dust now instead of just requiring you to have more than the amount.

Yup, we just got lucky before. Glad I went and got a few water bottles before the patch. lol
Once you get T1, T2, and T3 essence you can break those down for massive amounts of dust. Also never use repair all, just repair the things that are broken 1 at time. vastly cheaper.

No, the repair system was broken and was using no dust. Its now back to working the way it was at launch.

The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Fairly certain i saw a comment from the devs a while ago saying they were going to turn off the essence dust costs temporarily while they fixed an issue with it...
Guess the issue is fixed now so they re-enabled it.

Either way the players that came after it was free, would have no idea it cost anything and are going to be confused now.

There is no grinding. Do the vaults once, and have enough dust to last weeks.

For new players who haven't reached the vaults yet, just pick up a bunch of crude rocks, refine them into stone marbles in a tier 1 workbench, then extract the marbles to dust. That's what I was doing at launch, until things broke. It'll take you to the point that you can get essence instead of just dust.

Thanks I did not know that. I'm at T2 and that really helps.

That was patched out today. marbles no longer return excessive amounts of dust compared to rocks.

Every post you make indicates to me that you don't understand the game's basic systems. Time to spend more time in game and less time on the forums, mate.
