Repair cost, post update.
Have repair costs taken a big jump or is it me? I have a mixture of epic/rare/common gear and I hit "repair all" as usual (Nothing really damaged) and it cost 2700 dust.
I cant remember the cost before, but I am sure it wasn't that high.

Oh, so that wasn't just me. Good know... I guess. Time to go Literally strip mine an entire forest/antequarian biome.

Run the watch once, turn the 250 T3 essence into dust, you'll have over a million dust.

Oh, yeah, thank you. I forgot I could break down higher tier essences.

I might just commit a crime against nature anyway, cause I needed tin too.

Yeah, good that we have 10000 T3 essence already. And for people who just started to play or only at T1 essence progress? Repair all for 1500-2000 is not funny at all.

That's a huge amount for a starting player yes... i might not be able to play the game if i have to farm for over 2000 essence for repair costs... that's ridiculus.... And that's why i hate repair systems and durabilities in a survival game... it takes the fun out of playing the game if u need to farm for repair materials and r left with none to actually build and craft with.... Silly mechanics.

Yeah it was freely bugged as nothing was deducted when you repair. More functioning survival features for the win.

I know, best thing to do is what we did on day 1. repair 1 thing at a time, not repair all. Not everything is going to need repaired.

Also, just tested, and it seems 1 million dust is cap, so be careful, it you extract out T3 essence so you don't waste a bunch.

Don't click repair all. Repair your stuff one at a time, and only when broken.

I think it's not nearly as bad as it seems at first and you have no need to repair everything all the time anyway. You can replace some of your items in the early stages of the game instead of fixing them. Extract the old item for essence and use the new one. As Smketreez said you don't NEED to repair all items, just repair what you need to repair especially if you are low on essence.

Repair costs are way too high, the last patch didn't make the game any more attractive for me at the moment, quite the opposite. Pause the game until the repair costs to normal. Don't farm just for repairs. I'm not a complete idiot

Not sure what you mean by "return to normal" They are back to what they were day 1. The system was either bugged / turned off and repairs were free for some time, but the "normal" was the costs we have now.

You do know the old (normal) repair cost was free and that was a bug?

Before I knew it was free, I would do as anyone would do and just repair when an item broke, which was not often. Once I knew it was free, I just clicked the repair all like every day.

Just go back to being sensible about it, the free ride is over :steamhappy:

It isn't that big a deal. If this causes you to rage quit, then you should quit now, this is very minor for an early access game.

Repairs now appear to always cost the amount to fully repair an item from 0 durability. This includes items with 899/900 durability for example.

If you take a swing at anything, get hit by anything, repair all is 400+ per item affected.
