Report a translation problem
The fishing itself is ok, it turn out if you play your card right (or in this case build it right) you can make a 1 tile open (i.e. one floor piece open) and just fish in there. It will wiggle back and forth until it runs out of HP. The HP "Damage" is done by how high your fishing rod is "Damage wise" so a low end rod will take longer than high end rod.
Like everything in this game, nothing is straight forward and you have to stumble across it by yourself and figure it out.
Make sure you do all the 20 cards forest, desert and swamp first and talk to the named npc. Not that we knew as we just followed the quest which rushes you through and makes you skip it all.
